Hurricane Irene Disrupts Cruise Schedule From Port of New York / New Jersey

Hurricane Irene Cruise Ship Schedule

It appears that the Carnival Pride might be going to ride out the storm in the Chesapeake Bay. The ship is currently is the middle of the Chesapeake Bay between Federalsburg and Cambridge Virginia. She is moving ever so slowly between Tilghman Island and Chesapeake Beach (as of 3:30 PM). As you know, the ship raced to Baltimore to offload passengers this morning and is now sailing without passengers attempting to find a spot to wait out the storm.

The Carnival Miracle raced out of NY last night heading out to sea to hopefully go around the storm.

The Norwegian Jewel left NY at 1 PM today as planned and is heading out to sea at 19 knots.

The Carnival Glory has just departed at 3:25 PM and Caribbean Princess at 3:35 PM. The Explorer of the Seas departed at 3:55 PM from Cape Liberty Bayonne..

The Veendam will spend the night tied up to the pier at New York Cruise Terminal and will remain docked until Monday.

The Norwegian Gem and Celebrity Summit remain at sea waiting for the storm to pass and expected to arrive in New York on Monday. The webcam from the Norwegian Gem shows calm seas.
