September 19, 2007 – Yankee Trails World Travel is
pleased to announce that they have launched the ‘Cruise
Express,’ making it easy and affordable for Tech Valley
travelers to get to and from the Cruise Pier on the West Side of
Manhattan and the Cape Liberty Pier in Bayonne, N.J. Cruisers
currently drive and pay for parking, take a train to Penn
Station or take a public bus to Port Authority Bus Terminal.
Yankee Trails provides the service to Royal Caribbean,
Celebrity, Carnival, Holland America, and Norwegian (NCL)
cruise ships. The ‘Cruise Express’ offers
door-to-door shuttle service between Yankee Trails World
Travel’s corporate offices and the docked Cruise Ships. The
Cruise Express has pick up points in Rensselaer, NY, Catskill,
Ny and Kingston, NY. Free parking is provided at all locations.
Additional pick up points are set to be established in either
Harriman or Newburgh in 2008. Travel agents, Cruise sellers and
all certified CLIA members are eligible for commission for sales
on the Cruise Express.
“We recognized that there is challenge for regional travelers
wishing to take a cruise from New York City and Bayonne. The
options are very costly,” said Stephen Tobin, President of
Yankee Trails World Travel. “The Cruise Express
eliminates the need to park in Manhattan, or take a combination
of bus, train and taxi. That’s door-to-door service for $40
one-way or $80 round trip.”
