SEE THE WORLD IN YOUR OWN LUXURY CRUISE SHIP CONDO

Imagine touring the
world, 300 ports in 150 countries, from the comfort of your own exclusive,
floating home. The new ultimate in luxury is purchasing a condo on the world’s
largest private residential cruise ship, the Magellan.
The $750 million-dollar ship features 210 units and world-class
amenities, such as a tennis court, retractable marina, two putting greens, an
observatory, four fine dining restaurants, an all-weather heliport, Aqua Spa,
casino, gourmet marketplace, microbrewery, 430-seat Broadway-style theatre, two
pools and more. Owners can reach the Magellan via the ship’s two executive jet
helicopters, Venetian tenders or at ports.
At maximum capacity the Magellan will carry 1,100 passengers and
500 crew.
Historic astronaut Buzz Aldrin, future Magellan resident, says,
“In 1969, Neil Armstrong and I were the first two men to walk on the moon during
the Apollo 11 mission. I have always been drawn to exploration, seeking out new
experiences and constantly pushing new frontiers. My wife Lois and I look
forward to exploring the world on the Magellan.”
The Magellan will circumnavigate the globe every two years.
Scheduled ports include Barcelona, Monte Carlo, Istanbul, Stockholm, New York,
Miami, Rio de Janeiro, Acapulco, Vancouver, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Sydney, Bali,
Honolulu and Alexandria.
The Magellan’s residences all feature fine wood cabinetry,
stainless steel appliances, granite surfaces, marble baths, china, crystal and
spectacular ocean views. Residences start at $2.8 million for full ownership.
Magellan also offers the unique opportunity to buy fractional ownership of one
month or two weeks per year, starting at $140,000.
Randall Jackson, chief executive officer of Residential Cruise
Line, Ltd., developed the Magellan concept of richly appointed residences and
five-star service. “I was touring the Strait of Magellan during a holiday cruise
with my family when I envisioned the possibility of a home-away-from-home
touring the seven seas in the greatest of luxury.”
Jackson, a prominent Arizona real estate developer, former
luxury motor yacht dealer, and former commercial and military pilot, has
attracted the world’s top shipbuilding and design firms to work with his company
to create the Magellan. The ship will be built at Aker Yards in France and is
scheduled to set sail in 2010.
Magellan is the most luxurious residential cruise ship ever conceived, so it
is different from other residential cruise ships in many ways: • Magellan is the
ONLY residential cruise ship to offer fractional ownership, in addition to full
ownership. • Magellan is larger than other residential cruise ships. It will be
860 feet long and will displace 76,000 GWT. It will feature 15 decks. •
Magellan’s size also means more amenities, including four fine dining
restaurants, two executive helicopters, an observatory, a greenhouse, indoor
golf simulators, a putting green, a tennis court and an onboard, retractable
marina. • The large size also means better access to the ship, including
round-the-clock use of our all-weather heliport (weather and sea conditions
permitting).
If you would like to upgrade your cruise experience, purchase a condo on the
Platinum Deck. The Platinum Deck provides residents - the benefits of security card access, priority reservations and priority transportation
to names
just a few of the services available exclusively to Magellan Owners on Platinum
Decks 10 and 11. Other exclusive services include concierge and butler services,
personal shopper, private chef, companion program and private day-care.
The itinerary may repeat ports every four years. The cruise ports are very
dynamic; new ports and excursions will be added every year worldwide.
By utilizing the latest technology and maintaining a rigorous maintenance
schedule, Magellan is expected to remain in operational condition for the 100
year life of the vessel. The ship will be dry docked for a 30 day period every
two and a half years for maintenance. During the last fifty years of the life of
the vessel, the ship may be permanently moored/docked at a destination similar
to the Queen Mary Cruise Ship now permanently moored in Long Beach, California.
Owners are permitted to have two domestic pets that weigh less than 15 lb.
each, for a combined weight not to exceed 30 lbs. Pets must be crated in public
areas. Magellan also has a veterinarian and kennel located on Deck 4. Pets are
only allowed in residences located on decks 7, 9 & 11.
With prior approval and the proper insurance, a private boat may pick up and
drop off owners from the Magellan's tender platforms.
Prices Range from $2.8M to $18M for permanent residences. Annual maintenance
fees range from $78,000 to $542,000
Although construction has not begun on the Magellan yet, Residential Cruise
Line is accepting deposits.
